Protection Against Menopause Heart Disease

Menopause or the end of your fertile phase when your ovaries stop releasing the egg or the ovum results in a new phase of your life. The level of the estrogen hormone produced by your ovaries reduces in your body bringing about several changes. Studies have shown that menopausal women are more prone to heart disease.

It is seen that women are more susceptible to heart disease in their post menopausal stage as compared to the pre-menopausal phase of their life. Whether this is only a coincidence or is in any way associated with the decrease in the estrogen levels needs to be confirmed.

The risk of heart disease may be more during menopause although, it is still not proved scientifically. However, to take care of your health whether during menopause or otherwise is solely your responsibility. To relax and enjoy menopause you need to be happy and have a positive frame of mind.
