If you want to improve your memory you just have to be dedicated and willing to do what it takes to increase and strengthen your brain power. Give everything a home. I have seen many short term memory cases involving their personal possessions belongings at home. You need to designate a place for everything. It may sound hard at first, but once you have a system in place, it becomes a way of life and you wonder who you ever lived without it.

For example Keep a key holder near your front door so you can take and put back the keys in the same place every time. Again once you are used to doing this, this will be one less area you have to improve memory.

Another great idea when it comes to learning how to improve your memory is to build your memory capacity, which you can do by learning new things and keeping your brain active. Learn a new language or give yourself maths or science tests and see how you do. Crossword puzzles and related games are also very effective at helping improve memory because they keep the brain active and make it work.

Another memory improvement skill you can do is to just relax. When we get stressed our brains get overloaded and cannot handle even simple, day to day activities and we become forgetful. Even though you may be super busy and feel as though you never have the time to sit back and relax even for a moment, it is important that you make the time to allow your brain to focus.

You could even make it a group thing and invite your friends over to your house once a week for game night that involves memory games.
