You may find that you have begun losing hair due to a number of different factors. While it may also be a signal that you have internal problems in your body it could be caused by Seborrheic dermatitis which is a skin ailment that focuses mainly in sebum rich areas of the skin. This condition manifests itself as a slight inflammation that eventually results in dry, flaky scales that are commonly found in the scalp and inner ear. Cradle cap in babies and infants is caused by Seborrheic dermatitis.
You might also know of seborrheic dermatitis as being dandruff, cradle cap and even eczema. When you do suffer from seborrheic dermatitis there are certain changes taking place in your skin texture especially on your scalp. Experiencing itchiness as well as seeing the skin turn reddish in your scalp region is common. Some people call it Sebarea dermatitis or seborrhea. It is a skin condition where the individual is affected with dandruff, inflamed skin or redness on the scalp and parts of the face, thick scales on the scalp and other parts of the face and even on the torso especially below the breast and other places. When you begin to notice these symptoms, you can be reasonably sure that it is in fact seborrheic dermatitis and you will need to treat it immediately. Starting with a medicated shampoo is highly recommended.
Sometimes, using medicated shampoos can prove them ineffective and so you must consult your doctor who may prescribe medications and even shampoos that contain salicylic acid, zinc, coal tar as well as selenium and even resorcin. If the medications also contain ketoconazole as well as corticosteroids and you massage your scalp well, you may find that your scalp will get its balance restored and with children the results are especially more effective when it comes to treating their seborrheic dermatitis.
However, though you can treat seborrheic dermatitis, there is little if anything that can be done to prevent it and once symptoms are noticed, there is greater likelihood of them reappearing which means continuously having to use medications and taking other measures to keep the problem at bay. Shampooing your hair daily is an excellent way to control it.
To keep seborrheic dermatitis under control, it is also a good idea to also have enough vitamins and supplements on hand since the healthier the diet the lesser chances you will have of contracting the disease. You should also take good care of your hair so that there is less chance of your hair beginning to fall off. Medicated shampoos and other especially formulated ointments which can be applied on the scalp can help alleviate the flaking and the inflammation that come with seborrhea. There are other herbal or natural remedies which can be sometimes strange and others work but only temporarily just like the chemical ones. If the conditions persist you may need to consult your doctor for a stronger seborrheic dermatitis treatment.

It is not specific when it comes to fragrances though, and the manufacturer is not required to list the actual composition of a fragrance. Cosmetics are common culprits. Allergic eyelid dermatitis is more often attributed to cosmetics applied to the fingernails, face, or hair than to cosmetics applied directly to the eyelids.
