Baby Boomers Refusing To Give Up On Life
Some members of this large group consider being a member of the baby boomer generation while others may consider it a not-so-friendly gathering of folks. Following World War II when the country began to realize an unprecedented economic boom, many couple decided the time was right to have children and from 1946 t0 1964, that is just what they did.
The first of the baby boomers are rapidly staring retirement in the eye, but many of them are not quite ready to give up and be confined to a rocking chair. Their traditional work cycle may becoming to an end, but many are not ready to stop being active and settle into a sedimentary lifestyle. They want to go places and do things that they have waited their whole life to do.
Many medical issues of their parents may still be present such as high blood pressure, diabetes and arthritis but advances in medical technology means they do not have to be chained to their medicine cabinet with their doctor's name on speed dial.
