Understanding Older Pets Discomforts

Most pet owners enjoy getting dogs when they are puppies because this young age allows the owner to learn how their body develops. A puppy will usually whimper when they experience pain or they will simply wet the floor from the discomfort they felt. A pet owner will learn all sorts of things about a pet during their long life span and knowing the meaning of a pet's reaction could save their life some day.
The reactions for an older pet might be harder to understand. A homeowner might recognize that something is wrong because the pet is acting in a way that is not ordinary. The pet owner might be good at understanding older pets discomforts because they have been exposed to them for a long time. Pet owners can use many sickness rules to determine what is wrong with their pet.
A older pet might show signs of discomfort when they are exposed to bright light. The pet owner could brush this behavior off to old age if they did not know their pets behavior very well.
