By carrying around those unwanted pounds you put yourself at risk for heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, arthritis and high blood pressure.
Losing weight helps prevent and control these diseases. The popular weight loss methods available these days do not provide long lasting results.
It is much better to devise a healthy weight loss program that provides results for a lifetime. It is important to set realistic goals. Do not expect to lose a large amount of weight in a short period of time.
In our attempt to lose weight, skipping meals is one of the the worst habits to develop. Lifestyle changes are much more useful than crash dieting. Here's the secret. Three wholesome meals per day. They should be throughly chewed. Your diet should consist of unprocessed or prepared foods. There should be plenty of whole grain, fresh vegetables and fruit. And, or course, no eating before bed.
